Picked Up Canadian Evo X... FINALLY!

Hi all!

Happy to say that we finally picked up our white Evo X GSR up here in Vancouver, Canada! The car has actually been here for a few weeks at the dealer, but we had to wait for Mitsubishi Canada to authorize their dealers to release the cars.

Got the car from New Type Mitsubishi in Richmond. They also have a black GSR in the showroom, which I think is sold, and they received their second shipment of Evo's today, three cars; two white, and one grey I think. Of course, no MR's yet still.

The car pretty much looks the same as the US GSR's, except we have that rear bumper add-on. I'll probably be looking at how to take it off soon. Didn't take any pictures of the car yet, since it's raining, and it's basically a stock car, same as all other Evo's! One disappointment is that we don't have any options or accessory packages here like the ones available in the US. No aero package, no SSS, nothing. So we can't get the car with the projector HID!

Did put on a T1R T182R titanium shift knob though, as well as a T1R short antenna. Will post pics tomorrow. The shift knob sits lower than stock, and has a bit of a counter weighting effect and does improve the shifting feel a bit.

Lots of plans for the car! Excited!

Congratulations on your buy! Still waiting for my PB MR in Montreal... I was hoping that you guys in Vancouver would get them soon but it seems it's not gonna be on this boatload! My dealer told me 15th of march but I guess I should forget that!

Anyways, post pics of mods when you can!

Why do you so badly want to see pictures of a stock X?? The canadian bumper is available to see on numerous websites... there is a thread talking about it dating from a couple of weeks with pics...

Give the guy a break and let him enjoy is damn car! When he's gonna install the shifter, then it will be good to see pics. Until then it's just another X!

Congrats on the purchase. It looks like you can get the aero package depending in Canada depending on the dealer you go to. In the GTA, Dixie Mitsubishi actually has a Blue GSR w/ the Aero package.. I couldn't believe it either. The SSS package on the other hand....
