I think I am just going to order the half hood and fender protection for $299. My hood on the 8 was destroyed and the front bumper held up ok so I think the X would do the same.

Looks like a good option I would do it ASAP to keep the X 100% and stay far away from behind people until you get it on. What does the 3M kit usually run?

What I think is you need to look at the different kits (diagrams marked "+" to the right of each kit).

I wonder how many people buy the last one.

The plastic bumper holds up ok it the thin metal hood that chips. I ended up ordering the hood and fender mini bra for $209 plus shipping. Should be here friday. I am going to have my friend who does window tinting install it at the same time he tints my windows. He should be able to handle it.

^ Yea if you look at the part it covers it will protect the part of the hood that is angled down more than the rest and more prone to rock chips. Also when you order this they send you a free install kit.

My local guy was able to get me taken care of for 500 for the full kit. mirrors, hood, front bumper, door cups, door edges, plus the install is guaranteed for life! But I guess this woudl be a good option if most places aroudn charge more than 500

$500 is a deal, if I could of found someone to do the whole deal for that I would be all over it. But noone close to me does this work and everyone else wanted $500+ for the kit plus installation and I do not have time to get it done because of my work. So this was a good option for me.

Oh ok good luck with it. You will be 100% more confident when driving after you get it on. I know I was! I was hella paranoid before from hearing the horid stories of Mitsu's wonderful paint quality! hehe

I got the full frontal kit w/ the mirrors and door edge guards installed for $550. I did the headlights myself for $75. It's all 3M film. The film for the headlights/foglights is about 4 times a thick. I'll try to post some pics later tonight.

My instaler cut a custom kit for the car as opposed to the pre cut kit from Xpel. There are no seams or stress cuts on my install.

Those prices are a bit high for not being installed. Go check out local shops for cheaper prices. My bro got his STi for $700 (Half hood, mirrors, front bumper, side skits, inner door ledge, scuff plates, lower rear doors, front quarter fenders)

The closest place I found to my house was like 2 hours away and when I called they did not do it anymore so I would have to travel even further. This was a good option for me because I do not have to travel to get it done and I did not want to waste a day to do it. Also I think the front bumper will be fine I am more worried about the metal hood and fenders which this kit will cover. I wish I could of had the whole car done for around $500 I would of been all over that.
