I wonder how they tuned the ECU. According to the article, HKS tuned it, so they must have some sort of software available for the EVO X. It's pretty amazing that with some street legal exhaust and intake, they gained 60 hp. What's more interesting is that they slightly reduced the boost and leaned out the car. I'm so tired of waiting for someone to come out with a tuning mechanism....

My God that wheel gap looks horrendous.

Gorgeous car though, always did look great in Octane Blue

Vortex generator's have returned!

11.8 psi? to get 380-390hp you need to upgrade the pistons and con rods?

The article says it's stock motor. "11.8 psi" has to be an error. I think to get 380-390 hp with 11.8 psi, you'll probably need a lot more displacement than 2.0 liter or theoretical 20 to 1 compression ratio with some sort of rocket fuel

"The turbo boost pressure has actually been reduced from 11.8 psi in the standard car to 10.3 psi in the 360."

How did they manage to get 360 hp on 10.3 psi????

"If you start targeting 380-390 hp, you need to introduce new con rods and pistons, which adds dramatically to the cost."

If the con rods are beefyer on the evoX compared to the evo 8 dont you think that the evo x can handle 400 hp???

The factory probably is being really conservative, since they would have to honor the new car warranty. But in tuner's perspective (voided warranty and an expected engine rebuild at 40K to 50K), 4b11 should be able to handle 400 hp (IMO)
