Awful mileage. On the plus side 94 here is cheaper than diesel fuel for some reason...

Ok, so I'm also getting a about 21 on average to and from work.

I do have a question to see if anyone is seeing this. I recently took a trip 2 1/2 hours each way mostly 70 mph freeway I was going around 75-80 most of the way. Yea yea.. wimp I know. I used almost a tank of gas driving it. I drove back and stayed at 65 for the test and used almost a half a tank. The question I have is it sounds like my turbo is spooling at that high rpm and just sucking up the gas. Would a boost controller help if I turned it down or does the engine still inject the extra gas anyway no matter the boost level. On the long freeway trips I'd like to turn the turbo down so I can save the gas.

Oh and my car is still stock. I just bought it about a month ago. I'm running an 06 Evo IX.

I would have to say I have seen as good as 21 and as bad as 7-8 my average mileage is around 160-170 per tank. I mostly drive it back and forth to work which is about 5 miles in town. When I get on the freeway it starts to average 19-20, on about 140 mile round trips.

Well I was only getting a touch over 300 miles a tank on the GTS on all highway miles (driving to canada from pa). So i don't think the Evo really is getting that bad of gas mialge. If I rememebr my 8 was getting about the same. I'm just happy I don't have to bury the gas pedal now to get up the hills like I had to in the GTS.

With about 260 miles on the car I've seen an average of about 20mpg...mostly freeway. Hardly enough to really get a sense of the mpg...but it's consistent with the milage I got in the Evo 8.
