Dont get me wrong here... I love the X but I hate SO MUCH that the seats have like no possibility to move them up or down or w/e. And I just hate that it's taking so long and having to deal with moron dealers trying to add markups.

I got a inside man in Cadillac. Not exactly my choice of car company but, the CTS-V and it's massive 550hp V8... Luxury and that level of performance for mid 50k... That's really something to look at. Don't really care for the M3 since everyone and their mother has one nowdays.

Besides, I know if my Evo gets any problems, Mitsu going to be a real pain in the *** about fixing it. Cops are always going to be sniffing up my *** and I want more gadgets! lol. Cadillac on the other hand, all I have to do is raise one finger and I got 7 representatives sucking up to me trying to fix my problem (Got 2 Cadillacs in the family, experienced it first hand). Cops wont be sniffing up my *** unless they catch me doing 130 in a 60 speed limit... Plus, I get this extremely comfortable ride and at the same time everything about it screams out performance. All while I got all these little pretty lights and gadgets to entertain myself at a red light. But, the best part is... 550hp V8.... That **** does 0-60 in mid to low 4s and it weighs more than the evo by like 500. Gotta admit guys, nothing beats the feel of a strong V8 with a beautiful 6spd manual. Oh and the suspension, it got that new **** thats going around on high performance vehicles. That electrode or w/e **** that uses chemical reactions within the shocks to improve all aspects of driving around corners or over bumps.

I just hate that it's a Cadillac lol. It's good looking and all but, deep inside I feel like im buying a old man's car. Where with the evo, I feel like it reeks performance and aggression.

If Mitsu keeps delaying it, I really will consider the CTS-V over the MR... 550hp V8, lol that **** must feel so great once you step on it that I can care less if it can turn or not, hit a wall for all I care, I got one hell of a last ride. =P

magnetic suspension... Vettes got them in 05..... It magnetically charges and changes stiffness of the shocks... Lots of new cars have it ... Cool stuff

I think you guys are way off on the price of the cts-v and new m3 vs the X MR.... And once your 3 years free service is gone then a used m3 is alot more scratch

All 3 cars are solid choices. I'm willing to bet you'd feel good about owning any one of them. So, you can't really go wrong. Best thing would be to wait until they are all at dealerships and go for a full day of test driving them back-to-back-to-back so you get a feel for them. Then, do it again the next day. After that, you're decision will likely be made for you because you'll wind up loving one car more than the others. Good luck and keep us posted!

It depends on what you want to do. The X MR is more of a luxury sports car. Not only does it have the TC-SST but also alacantra leather seats, more sound deadening materials, nicer interior pieces, subtle exterior changes etc. If you want to mod a car the X GSR is the better option than the M3 or CTS (not new M3 or CTS though, $$$). Many people have said X MR is just a great daily driver. It all comes down to test driving them. I honestly would have to chose from the M3 or the X MR. I have never driven either.

You will either like the TC-SST or you don't. It does not mean its any worse of an option. Its like a Corvette, some people have an auto while others love the 6sp. I am getting sick and tired of the X hate threads. It happens with all Evo's. The VIII came out and every DSMer wanted one but were worrried since it was the first to the states. Then the IX came out and the majority did not think it was worth it but then the majority coveted them. Now the X is out and the same story. Just be lucky we have another Evo. Soon, goverment regulations are going to get rid of sports cars once the 35mpg policy is instated.

+1 The test drive should be the deciding factor. I test drove the Evo X GSR and I was sold. I just waited until I got good pricing and then bought.

In reality, at MSRP you are looking at about 40,600 for an X MR with navi. Now thats not with tax, but gives a good base. So we are in a very different price range than the other vehicles. To get the performance level with luxury, you definitely have to pay a lot more. The nearest thing price wise (besides an STI) are the S4 and 335, but neither are anywhere near the same expereince. It simple depends on how much you value luxury as it will either come at a large price financially or in feel and performance. Also, if the transmission is of importance, the only ones that come close are the GTR and to a lessor degree the audi and BMW systems

How are you all saying "go test drive them" ? Where the hell are they allowing you to test drive an Evo? I've walked into BMW(335xi), Lexus(IS350), and Infiniti(G35x) for a test drive with them well knowing i was waiting for an MR to make my final decision and they let me drive each car how ever i pleased (even though i was moddest with my driving) yet at the mitsu dealer they have every single one of their 20 GSR's under lock not allowing anyone inside any but the floor model. They wouldnt let anyone test drive one.

So tell me, where is it that you can/what BS are you spewing to get a test drive? thing is come may ill be ready to get a car with the release of the MR, and if i dont get a test drive im going with a G35x or an IS350 the same day .

The 335xi is AMAZING but, i cant bring myself to spend the extra 10-13,000 over the others.

However, if i could get an M3 for the price of an 335xi, sign me up too lol.

My local dealer let me test-drive a fully-loaded GSR without any questions. But, it was also the same dealership (and salesman) who I bought my Evo IX from. And he knew that I wasn't even planning to buy an Evo X.

It just differs by dealership. Many guys have had a similar experience to you. And many have not had any issues getting a test-drive.

I suppose its all about who you know and your experience with them. If the salesman i usually deal with had any control over who test drove the Evo's I'm sure he'd let me in one (considering the guy had my car delivered to my house on a flat bed before i even signed a single paper with my fully loaded GTS). Unfortunately hes a saturn salesman lol, evo is the only car he has zero say over.

Not to get off topic, but something with comparing the cars... I was looking under the evo in the dealer and didnt bother looking this up before, but is the dual exhaust a TRUE dual exhaust? it just looks like a single with some crappy axel back split. Can that even count as a dual exhaust? thats like saying a TRUE dual exaust with 2 tips on each end is a quad...

Guess im just use to the nice straight true dual exhaust of a muscle car

I think you mean the A4. An S4 brand new will run around $53-56k depending on options.

I think it totally depends where you go. I never intended to buy my evox, i just wanted to see how it looked. My first test drive was purely a joy ride and I only did it because I had nothing better to do. I ended up liking it so much I bought it. A smart dealership would push any potential customer drive the car because the x certainly doesnt sell itself on looks quality and price alone.

you DONT have the same feel... wheres the clutch? let me blip a paddle and WAM theres a gear. I dont like the idea of that.
