To buy or not to buy, MR
That is fine as long as they keep the bucket recaro sport seats because the last thing I need is mine and my passengers face plastered on the side windows because I took a turn at 80.
The problem with power seats is the added weight. The Audi S4 and RS4's have power Recaros and they weigh a butt load (adds close to 250lbs). Although i do love my S4 Recaros, front and back seats hold very well (yes the S4 has Recaros all the way around).
I would prefer the GSR. I love shifting and pedal work, and I love having more "direct control" of my car. The TC-SST is a great thing, the best of both worlds (and literally too), but I just can't see myself driving an EVO that's an automatic (sorry to say...)
Just my personal opinion...

I have the feeling I'm going to kick myself for buying the GSR in the long run, oh well Evo's hold their market value, maybe after a few years I'll trade it in for an MR.
I meant the X mr.. not the X
I know everyone has their own take on the new auto twin clutch whatever tranny... but keep those in ferraris and maseratis and lambo's where it's actually worth it..... It's not fit for an evo what so ever.. I dont even care if its faster, I LOVE driving a standard and having 100% complete control of how that car goes from gear to gear. I don't and never will accept that technology on an evo or any car in it's price range. Watch, next corvettes will have it.

EDIT: keiichi tsuchiya also said the new X is amazing and loves it, he also feels it is better than the 9.
lol, the easy solution to this debate is:
1) Buy the SST if you're going to be racing a lot
2) Buy the manual if you're not (unless you're really gonna be that guy who's like "dude, my un-modded dd can shift in .002 seconds!!!")

MR is a little tricky..
some people are looking for that performer with a auto.. people who drive alot to work and stuff also the 6th gear will be more pleasant on highway stints..
plus if your wife or girlfriend cant drive stick then its also great.
the only real thing that bothers me is the fact that in this price range there is so much more luxo comp its hard to spring for a EVO
the evo use to be the best performer for the buck but now in the 40k range there are quit a few BANGS for the buck

I was doing some thinking. MR gonna cost mid 40s fully loaded and possibly close to 50.
For that money and a little more, I could go for the new Cadillac CTS-V, M3, or w/e other mid price performance sedans. Besides, Evo got nothing special too it except it's handling... All these other cars are the whole package.
Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

You're way off on the pricing here. A new M3 4-door starts at $54,000. The coupe, well equipped is at least $60,000 BEFORE markup. The CTS-V is badass, but you're not touching that for much less than $55,000, likely more.
I have the most expensive GSR you can order at $40,240
The most expensive MR is only a few thousand more, I checked a few weeks ago before I bought the GSR. I remember it wasn't more than $2,500 more at most. I just didn't see the point to get BT, no clutch and leather seats and trim. I can probably get factory leather installed that is factory anyway.
The first MR's are built and looks like in the next 30 days somebody should have one in stock.

for not waiting for an MR
