I too my X in for the reflash with no CEL light on and with a aftermarkter air intake with absolutely no problems at all. They even gave me a free oil change and car wash with the ECU reflash. I live in Northern VA btw. I have learned that it is DEALERSHIP specific with how they handle things.

Which dealership did you go to? I got my car at Westboro Mitsubishi, but haven't called them yet about the flash.

Never mind, I called them today, they got it in. I have an appointment first thing friday. I'll let you all know how it goes.

I called Torrington Mitsubishi (CT) and they found the TSB and I'm going to get reflashed next week. They asked if I had a CEL, but I had already told them my car was stalling previous w/o a CEL. They did not mention paying anything. If they made me pay I'd try to give the car back ... again.

it is $55 for the diagnostic , but waived of course if your car has any issue or falls in the vin range... I'll talk to my service manager and see if I can get it waived for anyone that didnt buy the car with us... I really only handle sales... Not service... But they kind of go hand in hand , so I'll see what I can do for you guys... Fwiw, I agree with you all

Just got the reflash done! The car's idle issue is history, it pulls evenly throughout and I noticed the rev's don't hang like before.

I got it done at Hempstead Mitsubishi. in Hempstead, NY in case someone is looking to get it done in this area.

I'm having a hard time getting it as well. I have a dealer thats supposedly willing to do it tomorrow. I'll let you know if it happens
