When I'm all city, with a god damn stop sign or red light every block, I'm anywhere from 6 to 10 mpg. On a full tank, I got about 122 miles before having to refuel.

Now mixed, it gets to about 16-18.

All highway, about 19-22.

Hyper miling cross country I got 27.5 as my best.

I'm full bolt ons with a tune from English Racing.

This answer can vary so much based on how you drive, but I would average probably 18 mpg with the normal amount of driving like an a$$

Want an easy way to get 26+ mpg in your Evo?

KEEP CALM
and
DRAFT A SEMI

The display says "28.2" mpg, but the truck and I parted ways and the reading slowly went down from there.

Between the trip yesterday, and going to and from work today, I went 218.3 miles on 8.239 gallons, for an average of 26.5mpg.

I'd rather pay more for fuel than draft a truck and have rock chips all over the car.

Your car, your choice.

My choice is influenced by the thought that this car hardly has any acoustic insulation. If it was getting chipped by rocks, I'd hear it.

Also, it's 9 years old and never been garaged. It might have had a car cover for the year I was in Afghanistan. Otherwise, 9 years in the sun and the cheapo paint didn't age well. If it got a rock chip it would be hard to spot.

I'll care more about rock chips if I get the car repainted.

Or realize your driving a high performance sedan, go 85, get everywhere in a way more timely fashion, get 22mpg, and enjoy the car...lol

This.

I'm lucky enough that my company pays for my fuel. Go through a full tank of 94 every 2 days. Full boost on the company dime

Lol I agree on the cheapo paint from the factory. My cars a 2013 and the paint looks a lot worse than my 2003 Nissan which looked new, I just sold it this past weekend. It's not terrible but I'd expect a little more for a 30k+ car. My car has clear coat pealing around the wiper nozzles, a pillars etc. pretty disappointing.

OK, so you can't relate. That makes me wonder why you're reading this thread at all.

The only place 85mph was any fun for me was in the mountains of New Mexico. On a long, straight interstate highway, 85 is just noisy. There's no joy in it.

Also, my average tank of gas is less like 22mpg and more like 18, because of stop and go traffic. It's nice to know I can get more, sometimes.

Mine started at the nozzles, too!

I thought it might be because I used that green "bug wash" fluid, but when the rest of the clearcoat started peeling, I thought that might not be much of a factor.

Yup the paint is junk. I can see where peoples feet have touched the side skirts and left scratches.

I was averaging ~17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway with full bolt ons and a stage 2 tune. After cleaning my air filter and changing the spark plugs it went up to about 18-19 city and 26 mpg highway. That's with daily driving; still burns through half a tank of gas with 2, 20 minute track sessions though haha.

Currently averaging 22mpg (city/highway combined). Mods consist of exhaust, mini muffler, intake, FMIC, manifold and tune. Mainly city driving with some occasional spirited driving up in the canyons.
