Rebate dispute... any ground?
Rebate dispute... any ground?
Ok, not a happy camper. I was sold an evo at just above invoice... but little did i know, and apparently to no benefit to the dealer, i was never offered my rebates. At the time i did not know of the loyalty, education, and military rebates, and it was never stated, offered, mentioned or anything. Now here i am learning about them 2.5 weeks later, only to learn im past my rebate period...
any options. I talked to one dealer (im out of state on a military exercise) and he said the dealer might be able to work something out but MMCA might not budge..
ideas?
Thanks for any input, bit of a rant, but i just saw the forms tonight and im a bit pissed. i qualify for all three.

I don't see anything happening honestly, once you sign the paper work the sales are final, but you could leave negative feedback on the dealership behalf via Mitsubishi! Hope everything pans man, I really do!!!
Thanks for all the quick replies! My last forum was starting to get overrun by 14yr olds. Theres a tad bit of maturity here.
Anyways, im going to call that number monday, i tried earlier but they have "new hours" to M-F.
Ill let yall know what happens, keep throwing out the ideas if you know any better though!

Rebates, discounts, etc won't be mentioned to you unless they are trying to make the deal work. If they can work with what they currently have, then why would a dealer want to give up money on a deal. Dealer is like a casino, it wants to get as much money out of you as it possibly can.
Supposedly it can happen. The form specifically states that it must be within 2 days of purchase, but my dealer didn't file mine and I got Mitsubishi corporate involved weeks later (before I knew about the deadline). I got a call a week ago saying I was approved and the check would be mailed this week, so there's hope. If the dealer gives you trouble, or Mitsubishi denies the claim because it's been longer than two days, get corporate involved.
Let us know how it goes.
