it happens, nothing is perfect. we just got a brand new toyota highlander hybrid with 200 miles with a slow leak, we lift it up, its rear main seal is leaking. things happen and it always does suck when its yours. well to validate your statement.. there are alot of stupid techs out there.

Transfer case was leaking massively. Seal is bad. Not a serviceable part. Needs new transfer case. Will be out of commission for two weeks. 32,000 miles on it, mostly highway. Going to be selling the car once I get it back. I don't want a $3000 repair bill at 60,000 miles.

Can anyone recommend a good tuner in Kansas City? Once the warranty is over, I'll need someone who knows what they're doing. (if I don't sell it)

that's under warranty still, why are you replacing it?

I got my t-case replaced at 44k miles, but it was more of a precaution they think. Might have been a 1 dollar O-ring too

Yes, under warranty. Dealer said there was not a way to replace the seal, only thing to do was replace the entire t-case.
