So who traded in what to get a X
Seriously considering trading the GTS with over 12k miles for a GSR with the SSS package. Only problem is the dealership will only come down to $1k over invoice and they're going to low ball me on the GTS. Last quote I got with an estimated boot on the trade was about $38k and some change OTD.
I'll be lucky to get $37k OTD. For you guys that have traded your GTS, what was your experience? Any advice for a former EVO owner trying to get back in the game?

Traded in my EVO XIII for the EVO X. I was sold when I seen the EVO X was a little more refined. The X is much slower then the 8 or 9 stock to stock probably because of the weight. I am really impressed by the numbers I see posted for gains with bolt-ons. If you like your raw car then stick with the 8. If you want a little more refinement then go with the X. I went full package GSR and I love the navigation and Sirius. Maybe somebody will crack the code on the in dash computer and I can tune with that touchscreen. That would freaking rock! Tune on the fly with the Mitsu touchscreen system.

I upgraded from an '05 Pontiac GTO. I miss the rumble of the full catback with Series 40 mufflers and I am missing the "power anytime and as much as you like" of the 6.0L. Given its 400HP/400 ft lbs, the GTO would run (not walk) away from any stock USDM EVO in a straight-line but would threaten to kill you by breaking the rear loose if you actually tried to take a corner fast. In the end, the GTO will be the absolute last "American" car that I buy - I had so many issues with the interior failing apart, exterior paint problems, and floppy handling in 3 years that I'm pretty much done with them.
The X feels way more stable and planted under all conditions from the freeway to rippin' through a corner. It also looks much better than the Goat in my opinion. The build quality is vastly better than the GTO but not quite up to the standards of my wife's Honda Odyssey but then again who is up to Honda's standards these days? You also sit in an Evo versus sitting on a GTO . As for the straight-line, a few mods will fix this problem.
I am extremely happy.

Recently traded in my Graphite Gray IX SE with a handful of mods for my GG Evo X GSR with SSS. I can't say I regret it one bit, as said before, the car is very refined, it's smooth and nimble, and this is only in stock form. I can't imagine what the car will be like when I start modding it, I look forward to it and hope to say nothing but good things in the future.
Evo X!
Evo X!
I traded in my Black 03 Nissan 350z for a GG 08 Evo X GSR... dealership didn't notice my z's transmission was going!
Although I wouldn't compare the cars styling wise (Coupe vs. Sport Sedan), but handling and all, the Evo feels kind of like my z's rwd with the rear's willingness to slide out a bit yet its awd, so I feel really comfortable with it. Also, it has more power, has a better ride, smaller engine, but more hp & torque, and best of all... it has back seats!!! It also can be better on gas as well.
its funny cuz i went from a 4.0 L V8 to a 3.5 L V6 to a 2.0 L I4, yet my hp and torque keeps going up!
