Evo X exhaust

I've been looking on YouTube without success for clips that demonstrate the sound of the Evo X exhaust, stock. Can anyone fill me in on how it sounds?

Also, if I'd like it to sound a little meaner, what would need in terms of exhaust mods?

Thanks!

Check Buschur's and AMS' exhaust threads, I'm pretty sure at least one of them posted a clip of the stock exhaust.

The stock exhaust is super quiet. I have a test pipe on mine and it barely increased the sound, a little deeper/little more drone (in a good way) at highway speeds but thats about it. If you want something noticeable you're going to want to upgrade to a catback/turbo back. ~Trent

Thanks for info.

The ETS exhaust sounds loud and supermean IMO! Is it an exhaust kit only? Big deal to install?

Thanks.

How much do you think a shop charges to install an exhaust kit (w/ catback)? And can most shops do it?

Probably $100-200 bucks if it's a direct bolt on. You should install it yourself, it's really easy with basic hand tools/sockets and will save your hard earned cash. You should easily be able to install a catback and mid pipe in under an hour, probably under 30 minutes if you've ever wrenched any previously. Plus shops won't touch test pipes...

I´ll be real honest and admit that my experience with working with engines and car mechanics in general is limited. I am however set on changing that now...

Anyways, you´re saying that with the right tools its not that big of a deal for me to slide under and do it myself? I thought it would be necessary to lift the car completely though..
