is there a better window felt that can replace the rubbish mitsu oem one?
I got my windows done and i had the felt taken out not really a noticeable noise difference at all but would rather have the small gap filled.

The only felt that will last is Tint Protector's. Their adhesive is designed to auto use.

I have tint protector's brand and it sucks. I installed it correctly, and after a summer of heavy window use the tint is still getting scratched somehow.

I have Tint Protector felt on three of my cars for over 5 years now with zero scratches.

Do you live on a dirt road?

I don't know of anyone who gets scratches after they install the felt. Wierd.....

Yeah it is weird. No i don't live on a dirt road. No idea whats going on. Should probably pull the rubber strips up to see what's going on.

The Tint Protector felt actually has thicker "deeper" felt than the factory puts on most cars.

It would take some big rocks getting stuck in their for it to scratch. Make sure NO hard plastic from your weather strip is touching your tint.

The lancer has two separate wipers you need to install their moleskin on as I'm sure you know.

This is what the inside weather strip looks like before the Tint Protector felt.
If it's installed correctly you shouldn’t get any scratches at all. The moleskin will absorb the sand et.

And here is what it should look like after.

The 2010's need the Tint Protector Lancer kit too. They don't have factory felt on the inside of their weather strips.

My 2010 definately has felt on the inside of the weather strips. My tinter didnt have to install any felt. I just got me EVO X a week ago.

No scratching happening at all.
