I have been considering a RA for some time. However, I am starting to lean towards the X. For a little more money I feel I will get much more car. Plus it just looks better. I am also liking what I am reading about some of the developing piggy back systems being developed. I was shocked with the recent Car and Driver test that showed the RA average at 17MPG. If it is that bad why not step up in performance? While MPG is not a high priority concern, I want something that is not worse than the 20 MPG of my Honda Ridgeline. What do you guys usually average? Thanks.

22 MPG at 80 MPH with a 30 mile commute on the 405 here in SoCal. Sometime I see 24 and sometimes I see less. If there is traffic then I usually get around 17 MPG. I have the AEM intake + ultimate racing catless turbo back exhaust with no tuning if that helps.

Based on my driving experience, I'd say that the EPA estimates are pretty accurate for the Evo X. I get within 1mpg of their rating in my daily driving for both highway and city

If I'm just tooling around I get 22-24. Once I get > 65mph, I'm pulling 17-20 (depending on how big the >>> is).

On the track? 4-8 mpg.

you can get as low as 13 mpg if you like to boost everytime you get some open road in front of you, but the car is capable of getting 23-25 mpg if you drive 60-70 mph and take it super easy.

maybe 15-20 mpg is what you should expect depending. It's not really very good, a rear wheel drive V8 car is capable of better economy, honestly.

I get 18-20 city and 26-28 highway (Flater highway) (after reflash) These numbers are when driving style to save fuel and cruise control on Highway.

If you drive like a grandma you can get mid 20's. Now if you drive it like a race car you can see as low as 10. So its all on how you drive. But this car can get mid 20's mpg.

all stock and on last fill up which was a couple of days ago i got 22.7 MPG.

I'm not really on it a lot. By driving nicely most of the time I average 21-22 MPG city/highway with mostly city driving (75-80%). I find highway mileage to be low (REALLY low if you go over 75 MPH) but the decent city mileage makes up for it. It's the AWD and extra weight which drags down the numbers a bit.

I find the mileage doesnt vary more than .5 when i drive 80 between phoenix and vegas or when i drive 90

last few times i made the trip i got 23.8 @ 90 going down and got 23.9 @ 80 coming back.

city back and forth to work i get about two weeks :P thats all that matters to me driving back and forth to work.. how many days can i go w/o filling up

Not exactly what the OP was asking, but another data point:

2006 Evo IX MR, completely stock, mostly freeway commuting about 40 mi./day. Very little leadfooting. I'm getting a pretty solid 21 MPG.

WOW. That is really pretty good.
