that clearance would be ridiculously low because the hitch would have to clear the exhaust and the diffuser. and depending on your aftermarket exhaust you would even need more clearance. the evo x is defiantly not a car to put a hitch on. theres also that hidden hitch someone made but i would question the strength of the hitch while towing something like a moto. if i was you i would just ask a friend for help or rent a truck from uhaul they are like 15 buxs a day intown

Thread bump! Has anyone bought from tmf motorsports recently? I need a hitch for my evo x to move around a jet ski (>1000 lbs) short distances and this looks perfect for that.

Their site appears dead. What about the one from CBRD for $350?

Honestly, a jetski might be much for an Evo. maybe just rent a pickup from u-haul for those few times. You could rent it like 10 times before the hitch would pay for itself, and you wouldn't be putting stress on the Evo.

I have just purchased a hitch from CBRD 2" receiver to use it for my Thule bike rack. Its a very solid hitch that when not in use it is completely hidden behind licence plate. The replaces rear bumper support just like factory hitch on my outlander. I think its more than capable to tow a jet ski so is Evo X. Evo X is more than capable to tow a small camping trailer-it woud just look funny. Top Gear guys reached the speed of 125 mph pulling a small camping trailer with an Evo 7.

I am currently working on a license plate solution that would allow me to use the hitch witout removing the plate every time.
