the MPG readout on the X is a shorterm MPG not a total since the car was turned on. if you want to know your mileage for your tank of gas, you have to do the math yourself.

All that is detailed in the X Owners Manual: It auto-resets after 4 hours of inactivity by design.

Maybe some of you should have bought a Prius instead.

Come on now guys...you bought an Evo X, not a hybrid.

The 19 miles a gallon I'm averaging (mostly city) I think is pretty damn good for an AWD vehicle that puts out almost 300 HP.

If you play...you gotta pay.

Is there a long-term readout for both mpg and mph on the Evo? My Audi and R32 had a short-term and long-term for both.
The Nissan Altima doesn't.

why? its a short term mpg... thats why you have an "a" and "b" trip mileage. simple math gives you your MPG. If you need help, ask the guy or girl in the car next to you driving the prius... they know how to do it.
