C63 vs M3 vs ISF vs Evo MR
C63 vs M3 vs ISF vs Evo MR
Two weeks ago I test drove these cars and, in my mind, declared the M3 the winner ( See http://m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=236971 )
Although the EVO's interior quality is nowhere close to these cars, I have to confess that at least for the short test drive the MR impressed me with its razor sharp stance, steering response, and the sexy gearbox.
The MR seems like an interesting proposition for a fun 2nd car if one is willing to ignore the interior quality and the reported quirks & rattles. If it had a more solid interior and another 100hp it's be the easy choice even if it cost more. Heck, maybe I can buy one and send it to an upholstery shop where they remove the dash, apply loads of foam to eliminate any rattles, and then put back the dash with a custom application of alcantara.

Dude, you are comparing cars that are in completely different leagues. There is a good $30k difference between a loaded MR versus an M3 with all the bells and whistles.

Since you owned an E46, can you please give a quick summary on your experience with both cars? Thanks.
