Just drove back from work, after I switched off my car, I heared sound of liquid dripping from under the car, but can't really find where it's from, and there's no leaking.

I know it's normal if the sound is from the engine room(engine oil), but really have no idea what this is.never happend before on any of my cars.

It's like multiple clicking noises from underneath the car right? I started noticing that yesterday too. I'd be ineterested to find out what the hell that is.

 

mine does the same. it's just the metal cooling off and contracting/expanding at different rates.

 

It's your catalytic converter, its normal.

 

Has any EVO X driver experienced "the craziness of RPM pointer "?? The pointer moves between a range of 200 rpms while the car's idle(no a/c). Sometimes even worse, range of 500 rpms.

 

yeah, like crazy 8 months ago before the factory reflashes. I guess it still does it occasionally.

And was curious also about that noise, thanks for post. Figured it was just the metal contracting/expanding. I park my car in a heated underground garage and when i drive outside now i can hear some "clicking" "cracking" noises from the windows as the car/glass starts to cool and contract.

Side note, I've now had this happen twice where i open the drivers door and when it reaches the fully open position i hear a loud/sharp "pop" noise. any clue what that might be? anyone else had that?
