Sticker removal from front and rear door/window frame

Anyone done it? Did a search, found one topic that had a link that did not work. Reason I ask, back in the day, I had an s2000 that they did the same on the windshield frame, many had removed the sticker and it came out fine, painted and clear coated completely underneath. However, there were a couple of people that were not so lucky.

Anyone here removed those stickers between the front and rear windows yet?

why would you want to, they're on there for a reason.

the black pillars connect the window real-estate and adds to the wedge-like shape of the car.

take the black vinyl off and you've introduced new, competing lines to the cars overall shape.

That is your opinion which your entitled to. I personally think it's a bit cheesy to have some black sticker where it is.

I've seen a few people that have done it, but I wouldn't know where to begin searching for those threads. Take the vinyl off and find out (and post some pics!). If it looks like crap or isn't clear coated (which I would think it is), just buy some vinyl to put back on.

I personally don't think it will look very good. I've considered taking it off, but just imagining the body color on the pillars doesn't seem like it will look good.

I did it awhile back and it came out good. There is paint under the sticker you just have to clean it up real good. I think it looks like crap with that black sticker on the car.

A good way to do it would be get a good heat gun like this HEAT GUN and peel it by hand or use a plastic razor blade to assist the process.
