The MR tranny is the most refined Dual-clutch transmission I've driven. The GTR transmission clunks loud and not as smooth as the MR. Same with F430's. I am happy I got the MR.
For the record, the F430 isn't a dual-clutch system. The California is Ferrari's first DCT.

Yeah, my advice: don't drive a modded Evo. Especially an 8 or 9. The MR is a great DD, but there is nothing more fun and involving than rowing through the gears and blipping the throttle manually on downshifts. Not to mention, the constant feeling that you are going to sh** yourself from neck snapping acceleration. The raw race car feeling gets inside you. Its a completely different animal and addiction is inevitable. One day, you'll think back to how much you make a year and then wonder where the hell it all went. I would recommend becoming an alchoholic before getting into an 8 or 9 - its far cheaper and easier to overcome .
