Third clutch, last owner replaced it once. And I had it replace due to the fork release breaking.

My stock in my 08 started losing grip at 35Kmiles. If you want to test if its going, just floor it in 4th or fifth gear at cruising speed. You'll see it rev up funny or feel a vibration/chatter. No need to freak out if your worried about a clutch, they aren't that expensive. Just don't let your friend or dealership replace it due to lack of experience and cost. My second clutch was a 3 puck Exedy. hated it for the chatter. Third clutch is a Clutchmasters. Love it. Have less than 65k on the car now and runs like new! I've had 350hp since right around when I got the stock clutch replaced I think.

Thanks for all that information! I really appreciate that. I thought the clutch was $1,500 or so? I don't trust the dealer at all. From my limited interaction I know they are incompetent. Who would you recommend do it? A tuner shop?

Depends on what clutch you get. Ive heard many good reviews about competition clutch.

Are you from east coast? Check your local area section, there are pretty good shops around in east coast.
