Does warranty cover replacing a worn clutch?
to that sense, no. no dealer with the right mind would do warranty on a normal wear and tear part. that's like going to 7-11 and tell them you want to exchange a used condom for a new one.
they won't warranty your clutch unless it was defective. went through this last week with the dealership. only had my car for 10 months. it had 5500 miles on it. had them put an aftermarket one on.
You got raped call the police. You should've contacted Mitsu because you do have a wear and tear 12 mo 12k mile warrenty to cover it. Then you got raped again by having the dealership do it. What they charge for install $900 - $1000?

From that page you can follow a link to the warranty documentation:

There is no warranty covering wear and tear on a clutch (see page 9 of warranty guide). Maybe some dealers hook people up, but it is explicitly excluded.
The 12 month warranty referred to in this post is an "Adjustment Period Warranty". This means adjustments required as a result of a manufacturing deficiency are covered for 12 months or 12,000 odometer miles, whichever occurs first. (page 7)
