uh... I'm sure most people here tint their windows..

Evo windows are kinda whack that it's so tight.. it might scratch the tint.. so I put moles in it to prevent scratching.. n it works.. no tint scratch. BUT it's got a little squeak sound when windows get rolled up

ehh.. I gotta take my tint off for fix it ticket..

35%

And get Tint Protector.

http://www.tintprotector.com

It is a felt you put on the inside of the window seals to prevent tint scratching which will happen if you done do this.

Mine has been working flawlessly for about a month and a half, but others on the forum had it streak glue and come off even. I can't comment for them, but I split the stripping in half and put felt on both weather strips on the inside seal. Maybe that helped I have no idea though.

same. the cop was so bored, he busted a u-turn from the opposite side of the road just to give me a ticket for tint. the whole time i was thinking, "should you give yourself a ticket for making an illegal u-turn? you're bored anyway, right?"

what i learn from tinting is this - cops usually notice dark tints. mirror-type tints (quantum, for example) are rarely noticed. the ONE time i got caught with them in a run of five years, the cop drove around my car like 4 times back and forth before finally pulling me over. again, another bored cop but when i go redo my tint, i think i might tell them to take off everything (currently 20% titanium) and go to the old 20% quantum i used to rock.

It has probably been discussed before but the window seal is recalled by Mitsubishi so you should be able to get it replaced by the dealer for free.

I just told the service department my window was "squealing" and they ordered the part, etc for free.

doesn't have the felt backing i bet, so it will still scratch up your tint.
