This. Evo VIII and IX regrets removed.

I think they still have it in case you want something removable. You have to remember when it was first made available, some of the other options that are widely used were not out yet. I don't think we can fault them for coming to the market with another alternative early on.

On topic, I don't have any Evo X parts purchase regrets. I could write a book in the VIII section, that was my first Evo and I made a lot of newb mistakes back in 03/04.

ZChip is still a great option for leaving the car stock or living in a remote area without a dyno where you want to set it and forget it.

These days it is more concentrated on the Hyundai Genesis while we offer our eflash service for Evo X which has no investment in hardware for us.

So will the X zchip work on the Genesis?

Seems like the VIP item so far in this thread is the AMS solid engine mounts.

I don' know...it seems like the HKS SSQV takes the cake or at least honorable mention.

Yah...

1.) HKS SSQV
2.) AMS Motor Mounts
3.) HKS Hi-Power Exhaust

I'm going to throw one more in that I haven't had experience with but have seen sold a hundred times it seems...

4.) HKS Legamax Exhaust.

This seems to have been a VERY popular exhaust to sell. I think it's because it tapers down to 2" when meeting the axleback and no one made much power with it.

really? I though I saw more AMS Motor mounts than HKS SSQV. But indeed HKS SSQV is honorably mentioned or at least top 3.

Well it's not just thread. I've seen it all over as well. That BoV / DV is horrid . This is the first I've heard of the AMS motor mounts...

I'm not a fan of motor mounts in general unless it's for a pure racing set up.

Actually I don't regret my HKS Hi-Power Exhaust at all. Out of the past cars I've had with modified exhaust, this is one of the only exhaust I've owned that's got many compliments with nobody saying it is too loud. But to each his own!

Anyway the only regrettable mod I would put on my list would be HKS downpipe.

What is it about the HKS downpipe that you don't like?
