How is the AEM intake bad quality, is it the form and fit or is it just you don't like how the turbo inlet tube is not metal?
I hear that...my BMW had the CDT HD-52's but the stock head. I'd love to do a system with Eclipse source and CDT drivers but it's not worth it on this car...it's noisy by design.
Wasn't planning to get rid of them, it's just a bit expensive for bling is all.

if you have the peak/hold ones, check your wiring. the power wire (red?) needs to be hooked up to a constant 12v source to remember your settings (ie alarm value and beep disable) and the other one to the 12v acc switched (orange or white i think?) to turn them on. if you have them both hooked up to the 12v acc, theyll work, but the beep disable and peak/hold features wont work (no pwer when the car is off, wont remember settings). press and hold the button and start the car. it should be disabled for good. the only con i found with these is that because of the need for constant 12v, it will drain your battery faster if you let it sit for 10-14 days (in my previous car that is).

I am still getting the ZR-2 gauge, since it plugs right into my ZT-2 and I can monitor AFR digitally in the middle, while monitoring Boost on outside ring. Or maybe the opposite. I just don't like any pod options, so one gauge looks cleaner.

I actually had misfire issues and have swapped the plugs back to stock for now.

How did the performance improve with the AEM intake?
Slight regrets:
AMS "Race" front motor mount - It does help smooth out shifting when the engine would otherwise be flopping around mid corner or throwing the car around, but I think the street version would likely be stiff enough for 90% of the people out there.
I'm thinking about an Aquamist, best bet to make it safe is to have the error code trigger a low boost mode in some manner so that it's not as dangerous if it ever fails.
