You make a good point.

I went with ARC because I dont need an IC rated at 650+whp, because I will never need it.

I went with a well made IC that is designed for my power levels, with as little pressure drop as possible. Anther great thing is the weight loss compared to all the other aftermarket IC. Less weight over the nose is a good thing. I think the ARC is the only IC on the market which weighs less then stock!

Either way, if you go AMS, I don't thing you will be upset. They make some great gear and produce great results.

Its all about taste and what you want to run. Both AMS and ARC have proven themselves in the racing world. You'll win with either!

i had the same worry when i started buying my stuff. For the most part i haven;t had any problem with AMS stuff, so no complaints, and i can't understand paying so much for ARC stuff, just not right lol.

I was wondering what are your guy's thoughts on both products. I have a chance to get the ARC Intercooler and pipes for around 2k, but then again, for less than that amount i can get the AMS intercooler and pipes.

I guess what im getting at is, would you get the AMS pipes and pocket the savings for other mods? or jump on the bling?

Save your money and go for the AMS, unless you are building a show car (for contests or to get your own satisfaction). ARC stuff is nice, and definitely top notch, but it is just too much money for not enough gain over the next brand (in this case AMS).

AMS is proven for performance and quality on the Evo platform, among others, and you can invest in even more parts from your cash saved.

I have the ARC catback titanium exhaust and it is very nice, but I got it in new condition from a member on here for a fraction of the cost. Had it been retail no way I would have forked over that much, just not worth it.

Good luck with your choice

I like my AMS UICP but I feel I got cheated at almost $300 for a couple of thin aluminum pipes. I can't imagine how I would feel about the ARC one.
