spend with her more than one hour showing her videos of the Evos, woman are diferent to us, they need a lot of talk, feelings, emotions, no just money and "i can affort it" talk (like us)

after 2 hours of drama....make more drama!!!.
rent a couple of movies about somebody that get sick, cancer, something terminal, tears, tell her:
oh baby.......this life is soooo short...........every person should make their dreams reality becouse tomorrow...you never know.

go to sleep with her. don't talk at all . try to look worry, sad. if she really love you after all that shi....t she should tell you, baby, just go and get your evo.

if she still think you should buy an altima......dude, i think you should move alone. if you can affort the evo why in the heck you don't go and buy it?
The Bucket List should be a good one.

if the mpg etc becomes an issue and you want a good compromise, the ralliart is a decent car as well.

I don't own one myself, i have an evo x but if it comes down to it, i'd rather own a ralliart than a fwd car. it has the awd drivetrain from the prev gen evo's, decent power, some would consider the dual clutch transmission a plus but it doesn't come with the ss mode like the MR does. price point is lower but you mentioned it wasn't a big issue. it does get better gas mileage and it's not as hardcore as an evo so maybe she will warm up to it.

Show her the 2010 Touring edition MR. She'd barely know it's an Evo.

I did this, and she hates the car. Biggest mistake I could have made. Should have just went with a boring grown up car. Every time stuff goes wrong I get it thrown in my face big time.

As some ppl said the Ralliart Sportback is a good alternative since it is a bit more subtle looking than the Evo plus she can drive it as wll because of the SST with a base flash or tune it will be on par with a stock Evo, power wise.

Obviously she cant be "too good" for Japanese cars if a maxima is Kosher.... must be the wing. Either promise to do wingless or if you prefer an MR go w/Touring model (leather/wingless/pimpin') if that is the real issue. Subi STI would be easy to convince, tell her it is a safe family station wagon LOL

Just go get it and show up with it, give her a ride in it and she will ask why it took you so long to get one.

I had a Speed3 before I got the X, (only because I needed a new car and the X wasn't out yet so I got the Speed). The wife loved it (Speed3), but when the EVOX came out she could see it in my eyes everytime one drove by, that it was what I really wanted.

After awhile I started making jokes about starting an "Evo Fund", so I could trade in, just to see how she would react. To be honest, I couldn't tell if she was actually on my side and believed I was saving for the X, or she was just going along with the joke. Then one day she went on a deployment (she's USAF), and I told her that I could get 0% on a brand new EVO GSR fully loaded and that it would only cost me 100 dollars more than the Speed3, and she said go get already so you will leave me alone...lol

She had many coworkers that were her troops that owned EVOs and STIs, so she knew all about them. I told her that before I buy the EVO, I want you to know that it gets horrible mileage, small *** trunk, and the dogs will never, ever, travel in it... She said I get it, enjoy your new car!

We have two little girls 10 and 12, and they love the Evo as well. I ended up getting a Honda Civic Si as a daily driver about 7 months later cause of the gas mileage and putting too many miles on the EVO.

Point is, get the car that you will be happy with, but if you plan on trying to convince the wife...tell her the truth about the car. So later when you have to refuel every other day, and you can't go to the commisary with the Evo, she won't throw it in your face. Not to mention how much ya'lls insurance will skyrocket. Everytime, my wife complains about not having enough room in the trunk, i remind her that I warned her about it before I bought it and she was cool with it!!!

Add another one! I've got a 2 year old and another due in April. The wifey appears to be on board after seeing the shot of the double stroller in the trunk.

Possibly the funniest thing I've ever read. Hilarious because it's true!

This is the right answer. Girls doesn't care AWD or turbo. Save your time take her to shopping. Game over.

I was a master at selling the evo to my wife, AWD is safe in ohio winters, its sporty so I wouldn't need a two door coupe for my summer driving fun and we could even take the kids if we wanted. There is good trunk space, the recaro seats are somewhat comfortable. Maybe the wife was just an exception, but I sold her so good she bought the car for me!

I got a call from her asking if I could come pick her and my new car up
I'm still happy with my evo 9, I'm sure the X has some luxuries that would make it better for driving everyday, but my wife and daughter love my car as much as I do.
