Time to get back in the game
I don't think you're crazy for considering both. Both have their perks. Buying used cars does have it's pitfalls, so be sure to have the car looked at thoroughly. I'd suggest getting it professionally inspected. Just do a google search for used car inspections and check out the sponsored links. Good luck!

Its stupid how many times I've gone back and forth on this one...
But I think the evo wins. I always told myself I would get another some day...hopefully that day is coming soon

+1 - can be true in a number of circumstances with vehicles...IMHO, the AWD system in the 335i is not as advanced as the AWD system in the Evo. Granted, if a 335i was purchased, you would have a BMW with a great power curve that is nice and smooth and it will be an AWD vehicle, but it will not be an Evo. I never thought that I would ever like a

I would say it depends on the purpose of the car. Daily/spirited driving, nothing beats the BMW. Its smooth, quiet, looks good and has plenty of power. I've owned two 330ci's, test drove a 135i and was able to take a new M3 for a day. They dont call them the Ultimate Driving Machine for nothing.
Now on the other hand if you like the rawness, razor sharp handeling, modability, like driving a car rarely seen on the streets (bmw's are everyware) and can live with the noise, squeaks and rattles the EVO is for you.
And for what its worth. I got the 2 Bmw's after I HAD to get rid of my VIII. As nice as they were, I was never fully satisfied, it was like something was missing. So once I was financially able to, I went and got a new X. love it, love it, love it!

I still can't tell you which I like best. They are total opposites, and there are things to love about both.
