as for ultimate racing, yes they are canadian, but charge us in us dollars, then you cannot go to their place and purchase the item, i,ll give you an example, i wanted an uicp, 170 us shipped anywhere in the states, i called and got that price, 265 canadian, if i were to buy from their authorized canadian dealer, please tell me, how ur being a canadian company helps out

as for bad compaines staying in business, in canada, is we do not have a lot of places to purchase items, so a lot of people just go in and buy what ever crap they have and are happy with it, if you want a reputable brand good luck getting it, and if you do get it you will pay a premium, like i said 2-3 hundred more,
+1 for ultimate racing and darryl. Was just there this afternoon, had ordered some UICP from another company near by, and well i ordered it last month on the 9th, still awaiting, i called ultimate racing yesterday see if they had a UICP and a resonated test pipe, anwser YES, both IN STOCK.
First guy to actually anwser the phone on the first few rings too, not call and call and call and then get one anwser.
Anyone be interested if i open up a shop to sell parts, install parts and dyno tune? lol, seriously no1 else does it all in 1 shop might as well rid of the competition

Can't praise enough about Ultimate racing and Darryl. Actually I find it much easier to page him in live chat, and he's always available to respond to questions.
See the problem with opening up your own store in Toronto/Canada is that you will run into the same problem - pricing!! You will most likely be ordering parts from US suppliers and custom will kill you which in turn you will have to charge a hefty premium which will kick everyone into buying from the States.

I never buy my parts from Canada specialy LiGhtspeed :S I always get parts from MAPreformance here on evo m , got my turbo upgrade parts from them , great company to
deal with!!! Fast shipping and great price
even tho lightspeed is about an 1.5 h away from me I went all the way to Rocket Rally to get a pro tune
I've heard to many bad things about Lightspeed
, but some ppl are happy with him so I don't know.

Not all performance stores in Canada offer poor service. You need to deal with one that knows your needs and is willing to stock some fast moving parts.
Inventory is key and good relations with manufacturers on both sides of the border help.
In Quebec, Perry Performance stocks a tons of race gear and is now stocking popular Evo bits as well.

I've learned to just order stuff directly from the States. The problem is... the Canadian stores pile up their orders... and then send them in at once so they can have the items shipped together (lower shipping costs) to them from the States. It pisses me off so much... and if you are at the beginning of the line... it can mean you wait a LONG time.
I just ordered brake pads... so I experienced this just now. I tried ordering from a local store (big name actually)... and they said I should get the pads within two weeks. Two weeks went by... and he said he hoped they'd be there in about a week. Then another week goes by... and he goes... the order actually hasn't been processed yet!!!
I ordered brake pads from Dezod in the States (Buffalo)... I received them in one week!!!

Yup, some stores with little volume have to consolidate orders, and this makes sense. Bigger stores, with more volume can order everyday if need be.
Not all stores are the same, thats for sure.
