my WRX caught on fire, by the time the fire department got there, they just let it burned. And yes if the insurance company is going to pay for the car they will do an investigation, I had a fire investigator come to my house and ask all sorts of questions. Still to this day i do not know how my car caught on fire, except it started in the engine bay and my arm got burned.

it was not a bumper fire, most of the fire was next to the battery.

if everything goes well with the insurance i will be back stronger.

Damn man i'm glad that you and your friend are ok. I'm sorry to see your Evo burned it looked really nice. Insurance should cover it and if u buy back the engine you should part it out to get some cash. Are you sure the wheel are salvageable?

Wow the wheel finish survived that heat? That's impressive - and will save you a bundle. Sorry for your loss though...on the upside it looks like a 2010 for you. Good luck.
