Time ago i wrote a mesage here about my back seats getting burn without any modifications to my car, look for my mesage, should be like a year old, and many other evo owners noticed the same burn under their seats

good look

Bro, sorry to hear your loss. I am giving you best hope dealing with your insurance company.

Should we all X owners start worried about this now?

Sorry for your lost.
Does it mean we better to change battery if we have stock Panasonic battery?

I hate to say this, but did you see the three times in this thread that it was already mentioned that all X's have the battery in the trunk? Read - then post. Not the other way around!

this may or may not be relevant, but i run a stock fuel system, except for the ams fuel rail, and the other day while driving, i noticed my gas gauge going down FAST. it went from a full take a about 1/8 a tank in about 5 miles. took the back seat out and pulled the access cover to the gas tank and come to find our my fuel return hose had come off the tank. so fuel was just gushing out of the hose. the tension clamp was still on the end of the hose. just food for thought.

I hear you Noize, I think I might get one too, my lil guy sits in the back, especially on the side where the battery is located.

you will need to install this. an aircraft aluminum plate to separate the trunk from the interior compartment c/o japanparts.com. I had aluminum fuel tank crash plate installed in my evo9 that when I rolled over several times and hit a tree, there where no fuel leakage.

They linked your thread already on one of the first three pages, and it even appears that someone with a regular lancer is having this problem.

^^^Hey man, ferrari performance comes at a price! J/k.

So yeah, fire extinguisher is going to start being my first mod in any car, because you never know. I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm glad it should be relatively easy to replace!

Wow... very glad you and your passenger didn't get hurt. After something like that, I probably wouldn't go back to buying the same car.

I am already wondering about my situation since my 8 month old rides back there.
