I have the Works SS with their bushing kit. There is such a difference, brings back the old rifle bolt feeling from the old Mitsu Evos.

Thanks for all the comments, and Kracka for the link to the review.

I think I might just start with the base and shifter cable bushings for now, and then follow up with a STS after I see how the bushings change the feel.

Urethane bushings seem like a winner to me. And urethane shifter cable bushings don't need lubrication right? (only aluminum ones)

Have the TWM and all bushings. I like the shifter (great quality) but I really was expecting more as far as improving the shift quality as I kept reading all these great reviews. Unfortunately the problem is the tranny not the shifter, bushings, fluid or anything. I've tried it all and just hope that a new cluch and mc will do the trick. Sure some things may help but nothing has fixed the issue completely. The low look of the TWM is nice but it definitely requires more effort to shift even with the weighted knob. I guess that should be expected I just didn't realize how much. Wish I could have tried a Works shifter but it's not worth it at this point because I don't think it would make much difference.

I actually like the stock shifter feel and with my size and the way I sit, I don't need the shifter any shorter. I wouldn't mind the throws shorter, but most short shifts make just that, short.

Sounds like the WORKS shifter would be perfect for you.

I put a thin layer of grease on mine. I personally grease all moving bushings no matter what they're made from. WORKS says they do not need to be greased though.
