For all those who have had a manual car before , is the clutch engagement point really high on the stock?
When i first got it i reved to 3k trying to find where it releases!

Move the seat back a little further. Hopefully you have long legs. When I first had the car I was up close and it was such a pain in the *** bending my leg and so much lifting. Move the seat back, straightened out left leg more, and engages just fine. Yes it is higher off the floor than most cars.

Just an observation I noticed, after having read this thread..

Seems I take off from a flat stop at around 1000 RPM and hit the engagement point at around 1500 RPM and continue letting the clutch out the rest of the way while reaching near 2k. Any less before hitting the engagement point and it wants to bog, and letting the clutch out to fast past the engagement point before hitting 2000 RPM and the car wants to lurch.

I've driven manuals on and off for nearly 20 years, and this one has probably been the most difficult for me to shift both smoothly and consistently. I'm guessing it's a combination of the drive-by-wire throttle and AWD that I'm still getting used to.

its the ****ing restrictor pill in the clutch line that makes it inconsistent

U'll get it quick, most of the world has stick shift cars so it ain't hard. SH**T, I learned how to drive stick in a Trans AM. Had the car out after being with my dad for an hour...........

On the tallest of hills I can take off under 1500 rpms, release the clutch before it grabs (hold the brake with your other foot) then give it a little gas and fully release the clutch. Don't try this trick for normal driving, however thats the only way you won't coast back unless you use the ebrake.
