Ok, I don't have my car manual with me since I am at work right now so I'll need some of your help. While I was driving to work today a light that looks like ((!)) suddenly flashed for 2 secs on the middle screen then everything ran back to normal. There was a BIG "CHECK" below the ((!)) and its the first time I've seen this warning, got me worried a bit since I work pretty far from home or the mitsub dealership. Please gimme your 2 cents quick!!

 

In my Jetta when the (!) comes on, it is because one of my tire's air pressure is low and the sensor is letting me know. I know they are two completely separate vehicles, but hopefully this might help.

 

yeah sounds like your tpms were freaking out

check your tire air pressures

 

Its a complete different light then the tpm....I am running Work emotions right now and I don't even have sensors in my rims, so I have that small light in the corner thats always on. But the light is flashed was in the middle screen, it was huge ((!)) with the word "CHECK" at the bottom. Never had this "CHECK" light come on for the 2 years I had been running without sensors, so I doubt its because of the tpm.

 

More than likely you got the "Check Braking System" warning light. That comes on at times if your brake fluid is somewhat low and you're driving in a spirited fashion and/or go over uneven pavement. It can also be activated if you happen to be holding to the hand brake while driving and lift it up slightly. Nothing to worry about...If it happens often, add a little more brake fluid to the reservoir.

 

i know what ur situation is... i had that same problem...it would go on randomly while im driving normal...

it stopped now though... i dont know how... i got a tune and it only happened once since then...but theres nothing wrong..weird

 

Sometimes these sensors go off momentarily. I think the manual says if it just happens for a moment during spirited driving... then ignore it. But if it stays on a long time... then go get it checked out.

its not the TPMS ..... I've had the same thing happen about 3 times in 60,000km of driving .... We dont have TPMS here in the middle east.

I dont know what it is, but neither Mitsubishi or Ralliart have been able to find any record of it in the car's ECU. They have come up with a number of theories, but all agree that it is just the car having a "moment" and it is nothing to worry about if it is a 2 sec thing that happens very rarely!

But it did scare the crap out of me..... that triangle and check look huge when you are not expecting to see them!!!!!

 

Check your brake fluid, its probably low.
