Finally did the switch, picked up my Evo X MR today!!

Thank you very much for people who replied to my thread:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...sti-evo-x.html

I traded my STi today and picked up Black 2010 Evo X MR.

Still, trying to get used to the SST but loving the car so far. It is a lot slower than my STi but of course Evo is stock, for now!

Seats are insanely nice compared to my STi's, handling also seems much better than my STi even though I had coilovers, thicker swaybars and stiffer endlinks.

Considerably less cabin noise on Evo but that trunk space

All and all I am happy with the change.

Update:

Pics are on post 23

Yup seats and handling are significantly better. Congrats! I love the GD STi's, almost bought one. I still miss the boxer sound under boost.

And another fellow Scoob converted. Awesome your journey to the darkside is complete.

I was following your thread on NASIOC also.

Don't worry about that trunk. Good table saw or chain saw gets bodies to fit.

Haha, yeah not that I use the trunk a lot but compared to Suby's trunk, I was shocked.

Thanks, so far happy with the switch!

What do you guys suggest for breaking the car in?

Just do not boost it for first 1k miles?

I didnt boost at all for about 700 miles. Then I did an oil change at 1k.

the break in should consist of 500-600 miles of varying speeds and boost levels...you should keep it under 5k rpm for the initial 500-600 miles
