Finally deciding to go single exit

I know there have been a few threads on here about loudest exhaust etc..but I'm looking for a GOOD exhaust with a decent noise, and some of those threads have started to get a little convoluted.. im currently running on the perrin stealth dual exit exhaust and looking to go single. i want a nice exhaust with a good angle on it, i had someone at a meet during passing state "yeah thats how loud the evo's are stock"

made me cry a little on the inside. is the AMS exhaust any good? greddy? which one do ya'll reccommend? Thanks

also, do they make any "stealth"(blacked out) exhaust single exit?

I have the full turbo XS no cat and it sounds great, super deep and no one believes its a 2.0 (cams don't hurt either). If you want stealth just buy whatever exhaust and spray paint it with black high heat exhaust paint.

if i do go stealth i'd probably get it ceramic coated.

i have cams as well, and its hard to hear on the perrin to me at least. i just want something much louder. i figured single is the way to go in that aspect. plus the weight

Stock exhaust with an electric cut out! I love it on my EVO X. I was going to go this route on my GTO as well, but I got the magnaflow catback for free

I actually was in the same boat as you. I had the Perrin exhaust and wanted a single, so I ended up getting the Megan Drift-Spec. A lot of people worry about the quality of Megan products, but I'd say the welds on the exhaust are on par with many of the more expensive name exhausts. I like the way it sounds, and also I think it sits at a very nice angle.

It's definitely louder than my Perrin, and to be honest I find it to have a deeper rumble. I'm not sure if that's related to my testpipe that's on there though. Although even before the TP, it was without question louder.

You won't have a problem selling the Perrin catback, I actually know someone who wants one lol.
