Yes, wrong section. You posted this in Evo X forum and not Lancer Evolution 1-9. Mods will most likely move it.

Anyway, It sounds like a lifter.

that's not normal. trust me.. did you check your oil level make sure you put enough oil in.. Or haven't put to much oil in. Also does the noise go away when the motor warms up to regular temp? or does it not make noise when cold but as soon as operating temps it starts. more info is needed.

It's quiet at start up, and then after running for about 1-4 minutes its starts to slowly get louder! I have not driven the car the whole month! I just changed the oil today. It never made that noise until i changed the oil. The oil is not low but is a little over the full mark? ( does it affect it if its over the full mark)

I have the same EXACT noise but starts at cold start up and gets quieter after 5-10 min. It is louder when I put fresh oil on it. BUT, I have had this noise for 10XXX miles with no noticeable problems running 30psi.

change to a thicker i think 5 w 30 is too thin on the bearings and in the head i use amsoil 15w40 used for disels and turbo engines the heat thins the oil out causing unwanted wear on the engine , changing to 15w 40 or something heavier should help
