yea but the other guy said you cant change a cars handling characteristic by changing its suspension set up, and that the sti will always understeer.. which is completely wrong.

ej257 is junk for modding though, but the stock performance is on par with ej207 and 4b11.. it's not trying to "catch" up to stock evo like some elitist evo owners like to think, it's always been right next to evo

I wish more people would start to label themselves 'understeering drivers' instead of always bashing the car.

On more then one occasion, I have been around people who were quick to remark about handling problems with 'x' car only to have an instructor or a more qualified individual show them how to drive it.

Quoted for truth, however looking at the movie, if that was the same driver both times, you can't say that the STi isn't an understeering pig.

This video is awesome!

I bought an Evo X over the STI because the dealership would let me test drive it. No test drives of the STI I like the way the STI hatchback looks (Evo looks better though) and would love to have one for my wife to drive so i could have the Evo all to my self.

And some people have to live with a stock Evo for a while. I wanted the car so eventually i could take it to the track but for now it still kicks *** stock

That Top Gear video is a joke. To use a much more powerful and sharper Evo model (FQ360) against a regular STI when you have the FQ300 at your disposal shows extreme bias. Clarkson went as far as to criticize the STI interior against the one in the Evo . He kept trashing the STI but in the end when the Stig drove the regular Evo X FQ300 against the STI around the track, the Evo lost. Go figure.

The EVO and STi pretty much got the same lap time. nobody else has lap times to the 10th of a second. They just added that 0.2 seconds as a joke since Clarkson was going on and on about the EVO.

Coming from a guy who has owned an EVO X and now a STi hatchback, I would have to say that I miss the EVO X a lot. Not a single day goes by where I don't miss the EVO's sharper handling, more aggressive look, and better (stock) sound system (I had the SSS package w/Rockford).

The only thing I didn't like about the EVO, was the trunk space, uncomfortable ride at times, and annoyance on the freeway. After having driven the STi now as well, I would definitely say I wouldn't mind going back to the EVO X if I had a choice.

Now I would just rather drive a beater and save all that money and put it into something else (CDs, Savings, etc.) I am such an old man now...

Yeah i miss my White Evo, but it was getting just a waste of money, so i bought a toyota that cost nothing to own next to it and will buy a nice condo downtown

Well i guess we all grow up one day!

Sharper? Do you know what the FQ360 has that the FQ300 does not?

The SST car that lost due to its inability to pull off a convincing launch.
Since this thread has gotten really off topic and is now just bashing and fighting, I'm shutting it down.

RallyChamp, I'd ask that you examine your 6 posts and reason for being here before trolling again the next time you post.
