a friend just bought the new sti. can't wait to take it for a spin.

 

I like the body of the new stis but sorry, evo all the way! Plus from other sti owners all i heard was disappointment as in it was bulkier at turns and a bit slower or seems slower at launches..

 

Poor old Subaru.......took them till the 2011 model to finally catch(barely)Mitsu's 2008 design

the sti's body is so bulky and big...it the evo's body grew, but for the better..this car looks like a regular sedan with an evo wing.

 

Honestly... Nobody noticed the way both cars drove? The Evo was sweeping tail while the subaru was understeering through the whole track. At equal speed, there's no way in hell I'd pick the subaru there even for just the fun factor.

 

Evo= oversteering fun, holds almost a full G stock, track performance

STI= a 6th gear for highway cruising, balance between everyday and track

For my money, if i was spending 40k (canadian prices) on a car, it would be the evo. At that price point, gas shouldn't be a factor in your budget (obviously to an extent).But i don't think i would ever cruise past 60mph in the Evo.

 

The STI is still one freaken ugly duckling. Glad to see performance wise its finally meeting up with Mitsubishi. Maybe now they can work on looks. Whats with the gay purple color? I saw it in person at the auto show and gagged.

This. Everything looked so fluid with the EVO how it would gently oversteer into the corners whereas it looked like the STI was forced into every corner with tires squealing in opposition. That and the STI is one ugly car.

im not to wild about the new sti design either....took them way to long to catch up in body style
