Hey SE owners, quick question for you. I've been eying an SE for a few months now, was wondering if any of you had feedback about the seats?

I saw the long thread about people complaining about the 08 GSR's Recaro's, and was wondering if the SE was the same deal or if they were fixed?

Probably not a deal breaker for me, just curious.

Hoping to pick up an SE early next month

I've been monitoring my driver's seat (I've only had passengers on a handful of occasions), and I'm doing OK so far.

I have a passenger everyday, and so far my seats haven't started to pull the staples out yet. This may be a question that you will have ask once more people get some miles on their SE's. I noticed in my GSR that the seats were good for the first 15-20k.

did they automatically send it to you all or did you have to fill something out?

It is just supposed to come after about 3 weeks. Given that I bought mine just before the holiday season I expect it to take a little longer.

Seats: What is this "problem" everyone is talking about? And in either case i'm REALLY considering a swap to leather. I commute in my SE-X and the grippy cloth is really annoying in my uniform for some reason. Worse than my 8 ever was. Though in regular civvies it isn't too bad. Still I hate how my cloths cling and twist up on cloth.

The seat thread I'm talking about is this one:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...aro-seats.html

Looks like there was a problem with staples coming loose ?

Just wondering if the design changed between '08 GSR and '10 SE editions.

Hmmm well when they start to go bad then I'll REALLY have a reason to swap to leather Hopefully I'll find a good source for a leather set and can sell mine before they get too ragged.

Here's a good thread about one member upgrading to leather, they look very nice - apparently these are OEM, but different then MR trim:

Well according to the that thread you posted earlier, the seat staple problem is covered under warranty in most cases. If you plan on modding a lot then I guess you would just have to take the chance.
My seats still look new... cuz they are. ;-)

@Alex, I noticed my ABU's (Camo for AF peeps) sticks to the seat too. Weird, since my civi's don't usually, so it must be the material they use. By blues don't stick though...
