i concur with that opinion. if there was a precut kit for every inch of the car, i'll sell all my mods and do that first and foremost.

but since there isn't such thing i covered my entire front, plus a-pillar, roof, and rear doors. a long time ago a rock flew by my a-pillar and literally scarred my a-pillar. i was going to fix it eventually, but then it quickly started rusting. really don't want that to happen again.

no way I'd do the whole car.. for protection vs appearance a balance of the two is best imo... ya, you won't have any chips, but the stuff is not 100% factory perfect, you're going to have imperfections.. you just end up trading rock chips for lines

it's not as glossy as a perfect detailed car, trust me.
Except on doing this to a white car, you will have less shine

I was going to do this as well as clear bra a lot of other places, but then decided I didn't like the look, associated cost, and that I would just drive as carefully as possible. Knock on wood, but I still don't have any rock chips in over 6 months.

Seems like its overkill to me but if you really want to it probably wouldn't hurt

FWIW I wouldn't bother. I don't have a single chip up there so unless you're driving through a quarry or something, I would imagine you'd be ok without.
