asked the local detail guy here, its about 7-800 for the kit itself and probably another 50-100 for installation. He said it should last 3-4 years but needs to be replaced as the vinyl will get cloudy, or something like that.

material is usually whats atleast 1000-1500 because just plain vinyl tends to fade, if you got the vinyl which has actual paint on it will cost you alot but in the long run it lasts longer than your car, you can wash and wax it without worrying about scratching or ripping it
Is there a website that sells high quality vinyl, including the painted kind that was mentioned above? It's usually sold by the yard, right? How many yards do you need to do the hood, roof and trunk?
