If i were you, i'd test drive the car at night to see if you think HIDs are worth it.
Fast key is a great thing to have if you dont want to take the keys out of your pocket. EVER.

Those two options alone made SSS worth it for me and I'll never buy another car without HIDs again.

I was interested in the HIDs and FAST but I think long-term even just the FAST system would be worth it; its really convenient.

I like the adjustable HID's and the RF system is great for a stock system. Plenty of thump with the sub. IMO well worth it. Fast is really convenient, the only thing I wish was different they should have gone push button start.

i would say no. the HID's are nice but everything else is pure garbage. the RF system sucks *** and the Fast-Key is way more trouble than it is worth.

The stock system in the 08 without the SSS suck and as far as the HID's I'd say it's well worth it.

You won't get the same OEM quality HID system in the aftermarket. The factory package has a self leveling bi-xenon projector. HID is both low and high beam with an in cabin leveling adjuster.
You won't get that w/o swapping headlight housings which run about $1000 each side new from the dealer and then you have to do a bunch of wiring because of the DRL.
The fast key is a great feature, you don't have to fumble to start the car with a key and have keys dangling off the ignition.
The RF sound system is good for most people. Unless you came from a car with a full custom aftermarket stereo, you will be content with the RF system.

Simply put, you will not get an equivalent for any price for these features in the aftermarket. You'll definitely find the utility in the package down the road. Get it, you won't regret it. Most of all the selling point to your folks is that it's all covered under warranty if something goes wrong.

I will be picking up my brand new car tomorrow...WITH the SS package.

I'm not looking for a ridiculous stereo system...just one I won't have to upgrade if that makes sense.

I regret not getting it and if the XI comes to be I won't consider getting one without it.
