Thinking about upgrading to an EVO X
In regards to the cars themselves... I think it's a no-brainer on if you'll enjoy the EVO lol The only thing that crosses my mind is you're probably gonna take a huge hit on the value of the GTS. But if the finances work out for you... then by all means get the EVO!
Some things you should be aware of tho...
- evo has much smaller trunk
- evo has worse gas mileage
- evo has higher maintenance
- parts for the evo will be more expensive (ie. the smallest wheels you can buy are 18"... this means even winter)
- with the evo you'll have to deal with people always coming up to you and wanting to tell you how nice your car is... LOL
If you are fine with that... then get the EVO! Most exciting daily driver I could possibly have.

Sell the aftermarket parts off your GTS and sell the car privately before attempting to do a trade-in. This will result in minimal losses.
Check to see if your state has a tax benefit for trading in vs. selling privately. Sometimes this can make up for the difference in what you get for it. Trading in can often be a good negotiating point on the car's price too since this gives the dealership an extra opportunity to profit off the deal.
Thanks for all the feedback thus far, I think I'll do some research on the tax benefits of trading in vs selling privately as Kracka suggested, and then try and sell the aftermarket parts on my GTS. I expected the upkeep and maintenance costs to rise, after all its all part of owning an undoubtedly much nicer car. Either way, that shouldn't be a problem. Suggestions on which color to get the new GSR in?
