Snorkel power...

So this weekend I got bord and decided to throw my snorkel back onto the intake (was running just the cone filter before), maybe it's just my imagination, but adding that piece of plastic really made a difference. Seems to run better overall, anyone else notice this?

Also seems like it has more power (ghetto intake is the only mod)...

On the IX, if we just throw the snorkel back on(directing air towards an open element filter) it will create a ~10 degree drop in intake temps...

I have the snorkel and half of the stock box for my Cobb intake. Haven't taken measurements of the difference but doing highway speeds my Cobb AP showed gradual decrease in intake air temp. I can only imagine how disgusting the air would be if fully exposed to the engine bay.

How is a LS1 swap cheap? A AC delete requires a new belt $47 for a gates. Relieves power from the pump and about 35lbs combined with the condensor and plumbing.

What about a factory reflash, I heard the 2008s needed them, what about the '10s?
