Agp cai?
Agp cai?
Ok guys I been looking for a true cold air intake and the agp incorporates this(i.e. sucks cold air from fender and not hot undens air from under the hood). Has anyone used this intake and do you need anything extra to make it work, does it go straight to the turbo or do you have to use factory turbo inlet? Thanks for you input.
The one I got I had issues with the opening for the MAF. I ended up blocking that hole and using my stock intake and MAF housing. Then attached that to the rest of the CAI pipe. Not the cleanest setup but it works.

^^wise words from Roberto. plus you won't have to worry about running over large puddles of water and such. short ram is all you need.
I have a ets 4" intercooler on the way along with a grocery list of parts. And yes a intercooler does pull cool air in but you still don't want hot undense air from The engine bay. You guys are sorta correct saying not to waste you money on a intak in some cases cause some of you guys get short ram or untrue cai and those don't really make a diifrense because they are pulling hot undens air from the engine bay where a cold air intake pulls cool air from out side of the car that is more dense and there for easy to tune the fueling and volts perfectly. See?

And do me a favor and take a look at the design of the X's front end and hood vents, the amount of air put through that big front grille and shot out the vents cools the air off inside the engine bay very efficiently.
This is completely ignoring the fact that: with a CAI, you must always watch for puddles, and be careful with water splashing, with a "short-ram" none of this is an issue.
