Stock Evo X 1/4 mile.

Went to the track today for the first time in the X. I wanted to make a pass or two before I get the bolt ones put on and a tune next week. I was pleased with the results since it was Houston Tx and 98 degrees out with like 10000% humidity. The car is stock with no tune obviously.

Probably could have gotten a little better but it was really hot and humid out. What do you think?

Looks about right. Definitely good for the temp conditions. What did you launch at?
On the 60 ft you might be able to get it down to 1.8, but that's about what a stock X does.

What year is your Evo X? The difference between a 2008 and a 2011 is pretty significant (about 3mph trap speed) stock vs. stock.

Yeah, Road and Track did a 13.0 pass with a stock 2011.

Rules of thumb, for each 0.1 you drop on your 60ft, you cut 0.2 off your ¼mile time.

FYI - there is an entire drag racing section to post this....

Anyway, that's not bad for a stock X. Looks just about right. It's pretty good for an '08, but probably only average for a 2011.

It is a 2008. I tried over and over to get the launch better but no matter what I did I couldn't. I preloaded with e break, I dropped the clutch slipped the clutch, ect. What I found that worked best was slipping until the clutch started to engage then drop pretty quickly. I like to think I'm a pretty good drive but I'm open to pointers.

I think you did pretty good considering how hot it was and it being a stock '08.

Look forward to seeing some modded times. to another Texan.

Also, I don't believe the times magazines post because they almost always use some type of correction factor.

Thank you sir. I'm hoping to run some good low 12's this Friday but we will see. Edmunds and top gear both rated the 2008 above 13.6 so I thought I did better than them especially for such a hot and humid day. But haters will hate lmao. I been racing since the junior dragster days and I can honestly say after trying several diffrent methods the one I used worked the best for me. I consistently ran 13.7 (traped 100.x mph every run) and finally after a good launch had the 13.6. I belive if it was cooler out and not so damn humid I could run a 13.4 with the same launch. I'm more than willing to let somebody else get in it and try to top it.

Honestly I'm not sure probabley around 100-200ft above sea level not to much hence the fact it's so humid. It's just such a Nasty hot heat down here in Houston. I want to move back to Colorado springs.
