2011 evo mr .......i get 10 mpg driving normal stock...so i put in a cai still get 10 mpg do i need to take evo in to see dealer???? or is this normal for this car

Go get it tuned and check your rt foot for lead.. Both will help greatly.

 

That doesn't seem right. Is that with no WOT? I don't know if just a CAI would affect it that much. You may be better off taking it to a tuner and have them try to figure out what is going on.

 

Stay out of boost.

 

Are you driving in Super Sport Mode?

 

no i was driving in normal mode ...and i even let my girl take it for a few days and she has a 45 min drive on freeway an she drives in the slow lane 65 max mph.. i get 145 miles to a tank full of 93.. the funny thing is if i beat it i will still get around the same mpg....after my first post i removed my cai. the thing i dont understand is how a turbo 3.8 buick from 1987 with heavy mods gets better mpg.. if the evo was faster then ill be cool but it not

 

Something has to be wrong!

I get at least 225, generally closer to 300 miles per tank. And I get on it on the twisties before I get out to the freeway.

yea, not normal, i've always gotten at least 240 or so to a tank.....take it back to the dealer

 

225 would be fine for me .. what the duce my **** needs service.

 

even in s-sport you should be getting more than that... like 180 miles. At leasts thats what I get. In normal you should be getting AT LEAST 240.

But the more you gun it the more it drinks.

Are you actually calculating it? Or you're just going off of the LCD display?

 

Stock form most EVO's only get around 180 miles to the tank, if u push a little more you'll average 140. Built EVO's get more miles to the tank. My FPBlack 540whp+ gets 200 miles easy.

 

My 2011 has 1800 miles on it and I average 21mpg... lowest I've seen is 16.9 in the city cause traffic was a b**ch and I was on boost thru most of the gears

take it to the dealership cuz that can't be right :-/ 10mpg... do you take the tsukuba circuit to go to work? lol
