Except class, style, and value. And who really cares about the stats? Not like you're gonna track one of these. ;-) A '67 L71 is pretty damn fast and light though.

I've only got 80 miles on my MR and I love it so far (used to have a IX MR too) but the C6 is an amazing performance car as well, particularly for the money. I had a 6 speed 2007 C6 coupe and I loved everything except the way the transmission felt... it was clunky as f$@&.

If I was gonna buy another C6 it would be Z06 or bust, though.

If money is an issue get an Evo, if not get the Corvette. Bigger displacement brings more potential in the long run. However for a beginner driver the Evo will teach you a lot due to the AWD handicap. Personally I enjoy my evo and I plan to purchase a Corvette in the near future.

Trunk, backseat, backseat, trunk
Are you freaking f-ing with me. Are both of these not performance oriented vehicles??? If you are seriously considering a car purchase based on trunk vs back seat (which yes are nice, but a major selling point they are not for either one) then give your wife your *****, and be sure to stay in the farthest right lane while picking-up your Ensure
Or go get an RASB, and TRULY have the best of all world ;p

Man thats harsh lol. I'm sorry, but not everyone here can go home and park their Evo next to their Prius (or other daily driver) My Evo is my first car. I struggle to make insurance payments, I love throwing my friends in the back, and milk it for every last mpg it can get! (some months are tighter on the budget than others) Doesn't mean i have no ***** It's just that everyone has a different story. IMO, trunk and backseat, very important.

The evo x like stated before in this thread is a good performance bargain that can be driven all year round. I bought mine after moving to wisconsin from Ohio. I was dd a 97 mustang gt with a roots blower and had blizzaks in the winter which worked in Ohio but not in Wisconsin. I bought a 4runner to get me through the first winter there but quickly realized that after driving a performance car as a dd for so many years that I hated driving a truck. I wanted something that could handle again. I looked all over the nation at the end of 08 to find a good deal on a gg x and never looked back. I sold the mustang and gave the 4runner to my wife who's car hAd just blown up. The x is the best handling car that I have ever driven. There are days where I do miss the instantaneous power of the v8 with 410 gears and a roots blower. Those were only sunny summer days where I wanted to slide the end out around a corner or romp on it in a straight line. The evo was my grown up soon to be a father family car. It does everything well. If you can only have one car this is it. What the evo lacks in my opinion is sound but I don't have a cai or tb exhaust yet so that may make a huge difference. And instantaneous power. If not launched it takes some time to get going out of first. I have rented a 09 hertz rental corvette and i loved it. The look the sound the open air. The mpg. The POWER that is all over the band. The gearing. I freaking loved that car. I still think that the x out handles it slightly but in every other regard on a sunny Perfect day the corvette is a far more thrilling ride. The exhaust note is amazing. If I lived in Florida and I didn't have any kids I would be driving one. If I had a ton of extra cash I would have one and the x. But I am living in Ohio, I have a baby on the way, and I don't have an extra 50k on hand. Some day I would love to own a c6 but not at the expense of having to drive a beater for half of the year. Some day I will have one and the x in garage.

keep the Vette since you can not make crazy horse power unless you spend some cash...

If it was the z06 I'd say keep it. C6 vette vs evo, I'd take the evo. Turbo back exhaust, drop-in filter, and a tune and it's a really fun car to drive in all weather conditions.

look earlier in the thread, just looked at a 10' X mr with 13k on it for 34k. looks nice but if i can get a new one for that it's probably not a good deal. Not sure on the sport shift either.

Go with the X!! Wouldnt you be pist if someone with a car that cost what 30-40 grand cheaper was faster then yours. I will never forget when i beat a viper in my 2000 cx hatch (boosted at 13 psi fully built), the guy followed me till i stopped and started to rage. It was epic!
