My wife and I took a 10 day trip carrying a large samsonite suitecase in the trunk and medium one as well. The trunk is small but its large enough.

Took the whole family on a week long trip packed three medium size suitcases in the trunk.

Are you gonna smuggle illegals over the border with an Evo trunk? No. but its fine for a family car.

Thats kind of amazing. Reason I got the RA over the EVO is actually b/c I couldnt fit our typical luggage in the trunk at all. The EVO trunk is closer to my NSX trunk (6.9 cu ft for EVO, 5 cu ft for NSX) than the RA or any normal car (which are all 10+ Cu Ft)

That said, this is a very subjective, owner specific, question "C6 or EVO"

I had a C5 Vette for many years that I modded, drove daily in good weather, and loved a lot. Personally, the C5 and C6 styling have never done it for me. I think the car looks weirdly imbalanced, but of course looks are subjective.

I dont think this is a question anyone can answer for you honestly. All the two cars really have in common is that they both have absolute crap interiors (IMO the Vettes is a *lot* worse though - I think as cheap as it is, my RA interior is a LOT nicer than my friends C6)

An AWD turbo sedan is going to just be a totally different experience than a big displacement RWD coupe even if the #s look the same.

To the OP, you need to figure out your priorities.

The Vette, in GENERAL, will get more "poser points" since its a true sports car shape and people recognize it. That said, depending on where you live, a lot of the year you're driving a beater.

The EVO is much more of a sleeper (esp to normal people - not 14 year old PlayStation fans ) but you CAN drive it year round and have a lot of fun and not even need to own a beater unless trunk space is a VERY big deal (as it is for me)

That is a really tough call. Like others said though, I can't wait to drive my X in the winter. Fun drives all year long.

A C6 would be a great drive too, but unless you are in a Z06 or higher, aren't X's faster on a track? Not a straight line I know, but you can't argue with the amazing handling.

Trunk is small, but I can fit my golf clubs or scuba gear.

If I didn't have winter to worry about, I'd really consider a C5 Z06 for the money I paid, but I still absolutely love everything about my evo.

Actually dollar for dollar the Vette is going to make bigger power. There is a shop here in the Dallas area that have DD 800 to 1200 HP vettes. Thats crank HP. Twin turbo, a big 7 liter v8 its gonna make serious power.

Always loved vette's, and respected them as well, but it's tough to make a decision between the vette and the X.

I'm sort of in the same boat with my Supra, I love the car, but would AWD suit me better for practicality and daily usage? Without a doubt.

Drive both cars, find what priorities are most important to you, and basically it comes down to which suits you better and which you like the feeling of better. I mean RWD is fun, but it depends on what you need vs what you want you know?

Hope this helps!

My other car isn't a vette, it's a 350Z. It's my "paint the town red" car. The X is my family car....gonna have a baby soon so I need the back seat.

I can drive both year round since I live in the desert. But when I have to pick up groceries with the wife, I drive the X since my Z has no trunk space, I.e. Sound system.

It's really the pro's and cons for you. Would u be happy fishtailing the vette on snow or driving a beater car on snow? Do u need the backseat? I mean really need it, like a car seat for a baby or a toddler?that's all up to u.

A member has said it before, make a pro's and cons list. And whichever car has more pro's, then that's the car u should get.

Nope in NJ, I am Dominican which would explain the "presidente", but it was mainly for the family. Bud light lime is my beer of choice(I drink water and protein shakes everyday so I'm a light weight when it comes to alcohol). I'm planning my first trip to DR next year .

Ps don't make fun of me because I've never been to DR

Screw the vette, if you're gonna go the sports car route, get a used GTR or R8.

I went the other way:

sold my '08 evoX and kept my '08 vette. had them both for about 1 year.

-The evo is more expensive except for purchase price.
-the evo uses more gas
-My evo had a tune, but was way slower than my C6 (but then again, the LS3 in '08's and up is no joke). You can get to 150 mph in no time at all in a newer C6.
-insurance on vettes costs the same as most normal sedans.

ok, I live where is doesn't even rain very much, so a vette is more usable, but the evo was really only better where awd helps as well as the great steering feedback. There are local roads where I could drive the evo faster due to confidence to take it to 99%, but on a road course, the C6 kills it. Not even close.

Last month I was planing on getting a used 2011 gt500 svt with navi and recaros or a used 2010 + zo6 2lz with UPP or a used gtr but instead I stuck with the evo and decided to mod it. Its all about the pros and cons. Weather wise, its crazy where I live. Weather can change on you in 30 minutes. I could only have 1 car and an evo is much more versatile than any of the two cars I looked at. I would love to have the performance of the cars I looked at and I know the evo can have that performance but without the reliability of "stock". Perhaps in a few years I will just grab a 2 door high performance vehicle that I could drive as a weekend car while still keeping the evo as DD.

30-40 grand cheaper? You can buy a brand new base coupe for like 48k. Option an MR up and it's damn near the same price!

Haha, i looked up used GTR's for fun and they are still in the 60's i think. I'm looking to spend around 30.

There are 2 2011 Mr's coming into a dealership near me in a few weeks. the dealer said with rebates they could be had for around 35k and he had no issues with me driving one. Not sure if i'm a fan of the twin clutch, i suppose it would be nice in traffic.
